DEXET Technologies strengthens bond with Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech

This summer, DEXET Technologies had the pleasure of welcoming Jackson MacLean, a talented Mechanical Engineering student from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as an intern. During his time with the company, Jackson showcased exceptional skills and professionalism while carrying out impressive work, reflecting his talents and the real-world readiness that Georgia Tech instils in its students. His contributions were invaluable and he was an integral part of the DEXET team during his time in the UK.

“I have nothing but positive things to say about my internship this summer at DEXET.” says Jackson, “Being my first college internship, I was nervous yet eager to learn about the industry and the team made me feel welcome from the very beginning. I was always encouraged to ask questions and offer my perspective during team discussions; this fit my learning style perfectly and made me feel like a part of the team from day one. The internship taught me valuable skills that I aim to apply in my future professional career.”

Throughout the internship, Jackson was mentored by Federico Roma (a fellow Georgia Tech graduate himself) to help him integrate seamlessly into the company's workflow. This mentorship not only highlights DEXET’s commitment to nurturing young engineers but also reinforces the strong ties the company has with Georgia Tech. DEXET is eager to continue this partnership and will actively look to bring more talented students from the university on board. Moreover, DEXET’s ongoing sponsorship of HyTech Racing, a Formula Student team at Georgia Tech, exemplifies the company’s dedication to supporting engineering excellence.

As the DEXET team continues to grow, the company is deeply passionate about developing the next generation of engineers. With the recent expansion into a larger office space, DEXET is now better equipped to cultivate young talent, offering even more opportunities for growth and collaboration. The company also has ambitious plans to open offices in the US in the future, and this strong relationship with Georgia Tech will be instrumental in making that vision a reality. The success of this summer’s internship program is just the beginning, and DEXET looks forward to strengthening its relationship with Georgia Tech, continuing its support for HyTech Racing, and expanding its team with more skilled engineers from the university.
